Mine bay when the phone rings. I've never figured out why. I somehow taught them how to do that...but I don't know how.

We've had several generations of family owninf Bassets and all have bayed beautifully apart from my two litter sisters I have had for just over two years!!!! I LOVE the sound of Bassets baying but our two just have never done it!! We didn't even hear them bark until they were about 11 months old!!! They're the quietist, but also the most mischievous Bassets we have owned... probably because of having two sisters together from 9 weeks of age!!!
