"Dictionary of American spelling: A simplified alternative spelling for the English language : written as it sounds, pronounced as it's written," by Edward Rondthaler, reviewed.

Here's something I don't understand: If you're going to write a book about how much cooler your spelling system is than the current one, why spell your title according to the rules you are trying to change?

  • Yeah i don't like the way Americans spell as it is. A lot of the changes that this book is proposing will actually alter the way in which many of the words are actually supposed to be pronounced. But i'm all for evolution in the general sense, yet i tihnk the tradition of our language should be kept as it is. Otherwise it loses its culture.

  • Indeed. "Nume" shall be an antidilluvian language used by Ents who lived in the estuaries of the Nile when it flowed into the Atlantic Ocean. They also built Isengard which is east of Narnia.XD.
