Boker Albatros initial review

Good materials for the money but fit and finish is just not on bar with others like Spyderco, Kershaw, Al Mar, even Benchmade, Fox knives etc... seems like Boker just doesn't get it

After his debut in our Solingen production line with the Haddock, Cox and 67, Jens Ansø from Denmark brings new models to our Boker Plus line. The Albatros boasts massive, 3.6mm thick titanium plates that form the basis for the frame lock. Between the plates sits the 5mm thick blade, made of VG-10 steel, which with its bulbous edge and slight hollow grind allows versatility and excellent cutting performance. The titanium pocket clip is reversible for tip-up or tip-down carry, and the large lanyard hole completes the package.

Jens should be making these knives with Spyderco!!! Every vid I've watched on the Albatros has had horrible lock up!! Spyderco would never let this happen. If I were Jens I'd be pissed cuz it makes his knives lock bad! I know he makes awesome blades but I'm not going to buy a knife from boker unless I can hold it and inspect it first 2 make sure the knife has no issues! I think this is totally unacceptable!! Boker isn't the only company either, I won't buy a strider unless I can hold it and in

@Hopefaithgun I agree completely, and I would by a strider sj 75 no problem or a custom but probably not production one unless I got a good deal
