Pasta sauce recipes with fresh ingredients are a favorite at my house. Simple and uncooked this is a great vegetarian recipe too. Fresh tomato sauce recipes are quick, easy and delicious. In this video, Rita Heikenfeld from AboutEating.com shows you how to use simple ingredients in this "no-cook" sauce. Tomatoes, basil, cheese and green onion give this sauce recipe is simple to make, but impressive to serve.

  • The sauce is a raw sauce but its nice if the pasta is warm - it'll melt the cheese a bit. ~Rita

  • No, this is a raw sauce - just mix ingredients together well and pour on top of the pasta - if the pasta is still warm from the pan, the cheese will melt a bit. Chopped up more finely, it's a great topping for spaghetti squash, too.~Rita
