just for your kitties comfort, not that he isn't comfortable now, but i have seen a dog go around with three legs just fine, so i think it would be fine for pierre to have the un usable leg removed.
he looks very well loved and very happy.

It seems perfectly fine, but have u ever thought of getting the leg cut? it can help it move more freely, and it wont effect it because, it already doesnt use that leg, poor thing.
