Johnny, I've missed you SO much. You're such a profoundly talented performer. This brought me straight back to 2007, where I spent my days anticipating your videos in my Subscriptions box. :)

@HairrySasquatch Sounds like an idea - Someone should overlay a video of them self playing bass to this neat little groove.

Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. Yeah it really looks great. I've been thinking of getting a Nikon D90 since I do mostly photography, and your video looks pretty similar, I was guessing because of the lens. I've got a Nikkor f/1.4 that makes my photos look a lot like this, so I'm thinking that lens with the D90 should do the trick.

i'm using a HDSLR, the Canon EOS 500D. I love it.. but not as much as i'd love an EOS 7D.
that said, it's really about the lens you couple it with. in this instance i'm using a sigma 30mm f/1.4
