@hux2000 The "fake" part was the whole point of the video, IMHO. It´s kind of a "mockumentary" of how record labels create thier plastic, autotuned eye-candy they call "popstars". This was the process around Ashley Simpson, to bring an extreme case. So, it´s not quite hypocritical, but just a staged sample of what happens behind our speakers and radios.
