@HerpDerpUrp what? You sound like you know some history so how can you say the americans were right to use military force? aren't you aware of all the unprovoked attacks on indian camps despite the indians efforts for peace? then they retaliate and the US is now justified in genocide?
"It was founded on the protection of private property" yeah, which they fucking stole, tricked and murdered their way into ownership of. you're saying because they put up a fight that deserved genocide

@donkeyfarmgirl Don't blame it on the government. During the time when American's found gold in the Black Hills, MINERS came and, violating the treaty of 1868 with the Indians, trespassed onto their land without their consent. But yes the government played a major part in this for not enforcing its own treaty. However a lot of evidence points to the corruption of the Indian Affairs Bureau.

@NamelessHill Not really.......it was founded mainly for the protection of private property. Basically, yes the white man was greedy and encroached on the Indians land, and the Indians would raid the white men. The white men would complain to their government and the government would commision the United States Army. So in the book the Americans had every right to employ the use of military force. But yes the whites were in the wrong first.

@Zelinkfangrrl Oh... like I said, I'm English, so I probably know even less than you about the whole 'doAmericansgettaughtthisornot
?' thing. I guess I can't speak for english kids in general because while I KNOW people've got the gist of it, I take a genuine interest in this stuff... so I might know more. -
@PurplePuppyPoison I'm not sure, I'm Canadian. The white kids don't no... They only learn a LITTLE. I wouldn't know though, I'm just saying what I know at my school and close schools. :/
-
@Zelinkfangrrl I'm sure everyone does. I mean, I don't /know/ but don't American kids get taught about this? [I'm English, so we don't get taught it as far as I'm aware. x.x]
-
@PurplePuppyPoison No I was not there.. but my grandparents were. I lost many of them to residential schools. I just want people to know what has happened.

This is one of the best movies in a long time!

@Zelinkfangrrl How is this top comment? Were you alive when this happened? The same with the whole black slavery thing - "I am not the victim, I am but the legacy."

Americans, Spanish, Dutch, German, Belgium etc have all done horrible things. But it wasn't the people who did it, it was the governments. They are only out to benefit themselves and their rich friends. God help anyone who stands in their way. Let's not blame it on race, because while we keep pointing fingers at each other they keep getting away with murder. It's time to start holding them responsible and make them act the way we the people want them to act.
Do you guys have ANY idea what the whites did to the native people? terrible, terrible things that cannot be named here because it'll be reported... you think you've watched sad movies, or read heart-breaking books? or experienced sad things? you don't know SAD. you don't know horror until you know what they did to us. please, copy and paste this to anything that relates to this. and please, thumbs up for this so everyone can see.
