  • lol hey macgyver...

use a plastic bin with a lid, then oyu only have to cut holes in the lid to put the plabts in-

that way the whole fishtank and foam shit

can stay in the shop, and you can grow your own stuff without toxic chemicals-

  • To much wrong with this!! All I can say is " SHYTE"

  • @cycosteve2006 the totes are not 100% light proof.

  • For growing the sticky green this system is bad, water culture will "drown" your plants. I suggest building an aeroponic system, much more efficient. Google it for plans. Otherwise good system

  • I agree with MacGyver..

  • @totenkopf98k

Blue board insulation is an extruded polystyrene. You're more likely to have Bisphenol-A in the plastic tote.

  • lol f'n mcgyver lol thanks a long video for not much information, search for aquaponics and u come up with alot of information i dont usually post on things like this but i just felt that you wasted my time on this video and i would waste your time haveing you read this long ass comment on your long ass video

  • lol f'n mcgyver lol

  • not a bad idea but i dont think its a good idea to use caulking, especially where the nutrient solution is,TOXIC!!! for you & plants just use the aquarium silicone its safe when dry.plus the styrofoam is chock full of bisphenal-a.i would just go with the tote bin system they work great and you can turn it into multiple systems at anytime and if you mess up take 5 bucks and grab another.hell,i found one last week in my dumpster lid & all, even clean! washed it anyway.happy ultraviolet dreams!!!
