Tearing Down Cony

This is the first vid I made of the deconstruction of my high school... I was a member of the last graduating class 2 years ago before the move to a new building.... *sighs* it makes me sad....


YOU KNOW YOU WENT TO CONY FREE IF...

You learned spanish in french class because the walls were so thin.

You, your dad, your grandfather and your great-grandfather all know the words to the school song...and sing it together sometimes...just for fun.

You know what UBF stands for and you were witness to the 2005 stabbing.

You've had 5 different principles in your 4 years of attending.

It snowed in the winter--inside.

You've gotten caught double (or triple) parking in the "lot" only to hit a car and drive away anyway.

JoJo Massey has asked you for a senior picture.

Your locker was big enough to fit your coat...barely

You've had sudden and frequent urges to steal Mr. DeJongh's BIG GULP.

You didn't get the memo from the Saucy Seven that they wear pink on Fridays.

Your graduation date has gotten moved back due to a plethora of bomb threats.

You understand the irony in Mr. Small.!!!!!!!!!!!!

You've participated in, and got arrested in, Water Balloon Wednesday

You've worn your "CrAzY" red and white outfit multiple times since you've graduated.

You had English with Ms. Young and it consisted of her muttering at her computer and complaining about not enough snow days.

You know the only thing more dangerous than the catwalk is bungee jumping without a bungee.

You've been distracted at a sporting event by Scott Cushing's cheerleading.

You've torn off the hair on the side of the building that made up the walls.

You couldn't tell if the Wellness teacher Ms. Jaywar...aka National Javaelin Champion... was a man or a woman

You know what Chizzle Wizzle is and you want to punch all those that don't in the face.

You've never actually SEEN the 15 security cameras "they" always brag about having.

You know the only thing older than the flat iron building is Geraldine Massey.

You've gone to the bathroom only to find every single one in the school locked.

You've come to accept that Mrs. Neighoff will never replace Mr. Kenney in Chizzle Wizzle.

You would suck up to Steve Primiano in hopes that he'd convince his mom to have a snow day.

You've done the "JAKE SHAKE" with Jake Rousseau. (Jake is awesome!)

You've caught yourself staring at Mrs. Worthley's absurd pants, but hate to admit you were actually looking at her massive camel toe.

The high tech security guards were a 65 year old man and a J.V basketball coach

You've worn your winter jacket to one class and your bathing suit to another because the temperature fluctuated so much

You've sung along in the hallway with Keith the janitor

You know that NEW Cony will never live up to the OLD Cony Free.

If you ever yelled raber or whitlock from the student section... and if you ever fooled around with brawn...

If you know that last years freshmen girls had the highest pregnancy rate in all Cony history

Awww... now I miss Cony even more....

This happened in Brunswick too--they tore down the old high school in 2010--a lot of people did not want to see it go. The memories died with the building. I never had class in it because they closed it in 1995. (I was 3 years old) but after seeing the inside I "fell in love with it" and was very sad to see it get torn down--even though the roof in the 70 year old wing leaked. They just don't build buildings like this anymore. R.I.P. Old Brunswick High School & Old Cony High School.

JMcFuck, if you had gone to a decent school AND managed to stay awake, you would recognize satire at it's finest. Unfortunately, you sound like you attended cony dog, too. Take this corn dog and sit on it. Ryderhard and I have places to see and people to do.

I'm not saying that your right or that your wrong what i'm saying is you better get to know me first before judging me:). I just miss high school thats all and if there was any high school i wouldve picked it would cony hands down.

Some things change while others stay the same.

I graduated from Cony the class of '72' and it appears that the latest move by the city is now to take over the "Flat Iron" and what was started by Danial Cony so many years ago is apt to be lost, but Cony will always be alive so long as I am as well as my children and their children

I attended This high school 2001-2006 i really think it sucks to see this building getting tear down just to put another hannaford...I know some dont agree with me but i had alot of memorys in there alot of good time's R.I.P old cony high.
