Car: Ferrari 512 (1965)

Albi is a french airfield track, used since the late 1920's, for motorcycle and automobile racing. The circuit is located near the small South Western French town of Le Séquestre. It also hosted some F2 races during the 60's. Short and selective, the track has 2 straights good for overtakings, with strong brakings.

For more informations, visit the official site of the track (French language): http://www.circuit-albi.com/

  • I hasn 't hosted "some F2 races", but nine consecutive F2 rounds between 1964 and 1973. Last winner being Vittorio Brambilla on a March 732 BMW.

  • The Albi track date from 1962.The former track was a Road course, like the Targa Florio, called circuit des Planques.

  • This track wasn't in use in the 1920's yet. At the time a different circuit circuit away from the city was used. Oh, tell the guy who made this track that at the time the runway didn't excee the track. Altogether it's fine though.

  • Hey, this background music must be from AC/DC.

    I can recognize Brian's voice.
