I don't agree that it is scare mongering. The British Pound has it own set of problems as a fiat currency and the British pound will not survive this decade, possibly much earlier. The commonwealth is failing and Britain is so over indebted that they by themselves will eventually default on their obligations. What most people don't understand is that we no longer live in a pure free-market system. All government policies and initiatives are so socialistic. It de-power people, our civil rights and it enslave a very large % of the nation with social welfare.
Will the dollar collapse - yes it will. Will they replace it with an alternative currency? most likely, but it is not guaranteed. Will it have a major effect on the UK? Yes, Why, because the UK hold billion of Dollars of Government bonds from the US and they will never get their money back. The Petro dollar is also collapsing very fast and the US dollars is very fast losing its stronghold on the world markets. The 2 biggest currencies after the US, China and Japan has just recently signed an agreement to stop using the US for trade between them. China, Russia, Japan & Iran will now be using a combination of Euro and their own currencies to purchase oil. Do you realize what a big influence this alone has on the US dollar.
Furthermore, the US government has bailed out the largest financial institutions in the world. More than 70% of the worth of these companies is toxic loans and these companies are basically beyond bankruptcy. The US Property cycle is about to enter another set of 2 million loan defaults, which will most likely bring the Bank of America down... I suggest you do your homework before you make this video out as scare mongering... the world economy is so intertwined and we are not just in for a ruff ride, we are in for a double dip recession, much worse than 2008, and very likely a depression.
