Ok, well, this is my pig (Babe). Some friends of ours paid $880 for her because she was a 'miniature pig' and supposedly would grow no bigger than 30cm high. Well, they were completely ripped-off. We have her now (they gave her to us, as the lady they bought her off wouldn't take her back - even without coughing up the money). We built a pen for her, and she is happy - but she is not a miniature. I put this video on as a warning to everyone never to fall for 'miniature pigs' as they do not exist (at least, not in Australia). The lady who supposedly breeds them is a liar and has sold hundreds of pigs to unsuspecting people. Spread the word, and don't let anyone else fall for it.

  • Honey, its 30 INCHES not 30 centimetres. your friends were just idiots. Kune kune (miniature pigs) grow to about 30 inches in height; compare your lovely Babe to a Large White or a Landrace and then you will realise that yours is indeed a miniature pig.

  • A real miniature pig may be 30 inches in height, I would have no idea (I'm not an expert on pigs). But this pig was advertised as only growing to 30 centimetres in height...it's a silly expectation and I would never have bought the pig but there it is! It was advertised as only growing to 30cm.

These videos are about a year old now anyway, and the pig is now the size of a normal, 'piggery' pig. We had someone from a nearby piggery come to see her and he said she'd make a breeding sow.

  • @blackerthanblackdog

don't be stupid.. please search teacuppig.info

do your homework before being another tea cup pig disapointed owner.

  • There are two registered miniature pig breeders in NSW and several more scattered around Australia. I bought a miniature pig from Ozminipigs and he will grow between 40-50cm high and weigh between 50-70kg. The size of a medium dog. Only buy from registered breeders, you will be provided with a breeding certificate and ALWAYS meet the parents before purchase.

  • who is the breeder? i got a "miniture" pig off Chrystals miniture pigs in maitland NSW, i was told Shilo woudnt grow bigger then 42cm, well today he is 1y and 5months and he currenlty stands at 70cm. He now lives out in the sheep paddock with 3 rescued lambs. i did everything the breeder told me to, but he still grew. regard-less i still love him to death, but i wouldnt reccomend any1 getting a mini becouse they grow and hundreds are getting .pts becouse they grow to big. its really sad

  • A lot of the feral pigs in Australia don't grow very big, its harsh living conditions in the bush, and they are naturally a fairly small compared to modern. I imagine these mini pigs would need a strict diet also to keep their size down. I read on one of the mini pig breeder websites that they can't be fed commercial pig pellets, as they will grow too big. It might be a case of 50% genetics & 50% diet. Pigs are omnivores, so a belly full of grass and low protein diet will keep the size down.

  • i personally know the people who run oz minipigs, their pigs are definately miniature pigs.

  • is this from Oz-minipigs??? where did they get there miniture pig from?

  • Wow!! This is still a small pig in comparison to other pigs (looks really over weight). I bought a miniture pig about 8 months ago through a registered breader. Check out registered breeders at mpppaustralia

  • Youc ant say dont buy form this breeder unless you TELL us who she is. Im in contact with one in hopes to buy, I would appreciate you contcting me so I know it is or isnt her. Contact me through this website pls

  • and who did you buy this pig off? you should be telling who the breeder isso we can avoid mistakes.
