Original riffs on Schecter C-1 Hellraiser (sound test)

This is an older video now of me playing my Schecter C-1 Hellraiser. I bought this guitar back in 2007 and I think I paid around $580 for it. The Floyd Rose model was of course a little more expensive and I didn't have the extra money for it at the time, so I just went with the string-through body.

This model was before Schecter started putting the 89/81tw coil-tappable pickups in them, so mine has the older 81 bridge/85 neck setup, which has worked fine for me. Some have asked about its clean tone; I have posted a video response to this one showing some clean settings. All around a great guitar for heavy playing with some respectable cleans even with the active pickups.

And yes, I was a little stuffed up in this video, hence the annoying, nasally tone in my voice.

~~Tone Port UX1 Settings I Use:

-Spinal Puppet Amp
-2x12 1965 Blackface Cab
-Noise gate threshold at -37dB, decay at 25%
-421 Dynamic Mic set at 50%
-Reverb on post, Medium Hall, 50% across the board
The amp settings are at:
-100% drive
-100% bass
-39% middle
-100% treble
-39% presence
-100% volume

Nice riffs, but to be honest dude it's pointless doing a 'sound test' with active EMG's being put through computer speakers and a pod. This guitar sounds nothing like yours when put through proper amp.

@A1phawolf It's what I had at my disposal at the time. Unfortunately college costs a lot of money and buying an expensive tube amp to play through isn't really feasible right now. I think it sounds pretty good considering what I'm playing it with.

I'm thinking about buying this guitar. How would you rate it? What are the cons of it? I know it has a nice floyd rose built in, but does it hold tune? More importantly does it keep it's tune when you do crazy bends on it? I'm a blues guitarist and I like doing bends a lot. I know this thing has the option to change up and get the blues sound too. So what all can you say about it?

@Darkit2099 Mine doesn't have a FR on it so I couldn't really tell you too much about bends with a whammy bar. It has Grover locking tuners and they keep in tune pretty nicely when I do finger bends.

@nirvanafrik What else was I supposed to play? Smoke On The Water, Stairway To Heaven or Smells Like Teen Spirit? This guitar is named "Hellraiser" for a reason. If you want to see some cleans, look at the video I posted of me playing stuff with a clean tone on it.
