Wanted to show off the pictures on my walls. Show a little of the University of Oregon. Downtown Eugene Oregon train station Southern Pacific now Union Pacific. Street cars that where taken out in the late 20s when the automobile came around and the Great Depression. I show some street car rails that are still in the streets of Eugene. Flood of Willamette River in 1890. Franklin D. Roosevelt at Eugene Oregon train Depot.

  • I've lived in Oregon my whole life and I ADORE Eugene so thank you for posting. :D

  • nice video man. the 1890 photo with the shot from the same angle was cool

  • "Senior Assisted living" is actually an apartment building called Lane Tower Apartments. A few old people, but mostly college kids.

  • BTW. Right where you were standing on skinners. Used to be an observatory.

  • Nice! Can I get copies of these photos? I love history. Seriously could I get copies?

  • What is that at the end?

  • Too bad they never allowed all the development to come into Eugene... Downtown would have 10, 15, 20 storied condo's if it would have been approved..

  • Cool video. It's nice when a city keeps its old buildings around. Gives it character.

  • Then and Now comparisons are just so interesting. thanks
