I bought it for $9000 stock, and sold it for $13000 on Ebay with the Supersingle wheels/tires and front/rear winches.

As a mechanic with USMC Motor T, I got to drive different types of equipment, but the M813 and M809 were my favorites. That's a great truck you've got there.

There have been several new versions since the M800 series. The 900 series has been out for years, and is currently being surplused, and there is a newer model called the FMTV that is a pretty wicked truck too.

Not a chance.... I just swapped out all these old skinny tires in the back with the bigger super-singles that are on it. The reason I drove down into the pit was so the bed would be level with the roadway so I could just roll the old tires in the back. I also had a buch of nay-sayers saying that the new tires would rub on the bed when articulating. This proved that not to be the case. Believe me - this truck need no help when it comes to traction...

This one gets about 7-9 mpg, but my HEMTT gets only 3.... :(
