Installed in 1991 when the deck was built as part of mall expansion project. The NW Parking Deck (near Westlake Terrace/Democracy Blvd) has a '75 G&P Hydro for 4 Floors, run-down and runs poorly. Also, Macy*s Home (Former Hecht's Home, JCPenney, and Woodward & Lothrop) still has the old JCPenney/Woodies elevators (bank of 2) which are situated next to the parking deck entry to the former store (now store is only on 2). They serve the all 4 floors of the parking deck (NW), as well as the 2 former store levels. Oddly Enough, the floors are designated as "1, 2, 3, 4" instead of LL, *UL, P3, P4 (or something similar). The former store was located on levels 1 and 2. In 2001, JCPenney closed due to underperformance. In 2004, the 2nd floor was converted to Hecht's/Macy*s Home Store, while the 1st Floor was converted to mall space. On levels 1, 3, and 4, the elevators open up to elevator lobbies with "Elevator to (Macy*s Home Store)" signage. They are either Otis or Westinghouse (prob. Westy) Hydraulic elevators installed in 1975, brake a lot, and have loud motors and rumble on 4. PTL Buttons, Generic Floor Indicator/Chime/Direction Indicator.
