  • I don't think the zoo keepers wouldn't take the elephants out on many days because of laziness.

  • @animalsrule1231 It's difficult to accept that, but it's true. We know many days where it was sheer laziness that kept the elephant from being allowed outside. For just one example - there was some snow on the ground one year. The elephants had been confined in the barn for over five days. We asked why, and we were told by both keepers and zoo officials that it was because of the snow. We offered to pay to shovel it, but we were ignored. This was snow, not ice. Laziness.

  • @SayYesToFreedom She was separated from her long time companion of 12 years - where did you read that she was reunited with "old companions"? That's a flat-out lie.

  • I feel bad for the Philadelphia Zoo's elephants, even now.

  • I don't think I've ever heard a person say "hey look at her" it's always "look at him, look at that big old guy".....

  • Sad is right... i spent this past April 4th at PAWS and what a happy life they could have...

  • Clarification to video: captive elephants over the age of 25 rarely get pregnant if they have not been bred before.
