Camps Bay is Mother Nature's little chocolate on your pillow. The beauty is always breathtaking.
The tall palm trees may, for a moment give the tiny village a "St Tropez" feel, but not for long. The luxury cars and sophisticated Café society of beautiful and seriously rich people are counter balanced by curio and craft salesmen and women from all over Africa rubbing shoulders with a seemingly endless stream of walkers, joggers and cyclists.
The beach is busy all day and the volleyball and frisbee players come to a standstill only on those special days when whales and dolphins come to play just beyond the breakers. Yet the beach is also a haven for the quiet completive activities. Yoga, Tai Chi and meditation continue as oblivious of the hustle and bustle as are the lovers walking arm in arm along the edge of the waves.
Undoubtedly the most beautiful and popular time to be in Camps Bay is at the end of the day. As the sun gradually sinks into the ocean and the waves reach maximum height, they become transparent as they pause for a split second just before crashing down onto the sandy beach.
