  • re "Q: Are BW employees accountable in any court of law?"

Yes, US courts, also Geneva convention applies to any contractors involved in armed conflicts

With re to Maloney's questions she is ripping him for the Dept. of Justice not acting. Clearly Prince would have no real control over that.

I know of people not being arrested for years after committing a crime in the US, investigations take time.

  • the Geneva conventions are "quaint" according to republicans. It's the pinnacle of hypocrisy to even mention the Geneva convention in connection to republican contractors supervised by a justice dept headed by republican appointees.

i just hope there will be an investigation after 2009 into all Geneva Conventions violations under Bush and dealt with according to the 1996 War Crimes Act.

  • Regardless of your perceptions of others thoughts on the GC, the treaties still apply and still dictate policy with regard to the use of PMCs and when they are determined to be a combatant or not

I can't see how I'm a hypocrite for mentioning something that applies to policy with relation to an inquiry of the same.

  • because the GC was watered down by the Bush JD namely John Yoo, Alberto Gonzales etc to allow the US and companies like BW to violate it. It's hypocrisy to mention GC in connection to BW because everyone knows including BW that the GC will never be enforced against them.

  • God this woman is a idiot. SHe wants blackwater a private company to arrest him. And detain him. Its been 10 months and the justice dept has done nothing, well lady then ask them?

  • the geneva conventions also talk about "uniformed soldiers". read it. none of these "insurgents" are not in uniform and do not apply. please God! don't talk a bunch of crap when you are ignorant of the facts of international law. thanks:)

  • The murderer was Brick Hamlin from Anchorman. That escelated quickly. Yah' There was a horse and a man on fire and I killed a guy with a Trident.

  • damn shes brutal.

  • The shooter was Dick Cheney. He was there for a quick visit and got out of hand.

  • GC is & has been used to set guidelines and policies with regard to rules of engagement, use of force, personnel usage & acceptable duties. Therefore it is perfectly relevant to the question posed and in no way hypocritical considering the definition and my lack of involvement with implementation of international treaties such as the GC's
