This is Autism though our eyes. This is our struggles and accomplishments. I made this video to bring hope to those going through the same thing as us, and also to help those who don't understand what Autism is. I do hope this helps at least one person. I know in my heart that my son will be okay no matter what. I will always love him for who he is. I won't tell you this this is easy. It not only is a physical challenge but its an emotional roller coaster as well. It may appear that I am strong but I'm just like everyone else. It hurts to watch your child knowing something is wrong and unable to help them. It hurts to not know what it feels like to have them hug you and struggle when you try. It's not easy, but you can do it you will do it. Love will bring you though. Don't give up on them. I have learned that my son thinks differently then other people. Therefor he must be taught differently. I have to show him the point of doing things before he will do them. He still does not speak but he is starting to say a few things. We will make it and so will you. Please forgive me if these videos aren't in perfect order this is the first time i've done anything like this.

  • I'm so happy to see that my videos are giving people hope. Thank you all for your wonderful comments. When I read them it brings tears to my eyes knowing there are so many people out there who really care. Austin has come so far. He is starting to talk. He can say mommy now and count 1-10 along with many other words. :) Also if anyone would like any advise, support or even just needs someone to talk to thats going through the same thing just send me a message and I'll gladly reply, God bless!

  • I really hope that my videos helps people who are just finding out that their child has Autism. Please believe me, your baby and you will be okay. They are wonderful and I'm learning so much from Austin. He is 3 and is making tools with his toys to help him do things. He is finally starting to say words and use the fork and spoon! I'm so proud of my little angel. Don't lose hope because weather or weather not you can bring them out of this, they will always be your blessing.

  • I don't think he needs to be "fixed"....I think he just has a different way of thinking...

  • To the Mommy of this little boy.... Well done you honey for being such a wonderful, loving and dedicated Mommy ! (-_-) I have high functioning autism, and as a child,I never got the help that I need,or any help at all. My mother knew that there was something wrong with me,but,my father refused to accept it.I can remember them having an argument about it,and my father said to my mother,"No daughter of mine is disabled! I never got any help with my autism until I was 18,by reading autism book's.

  • Who would dislike this and why?! Idiots!!!!!!!

I was just doing some research because our son does 1 odd thing at 9 months old so your video has been extremely helpful and I cannot help but cry when I think of what it must have been like to have such an unresponsive baby. I am so sorry. Disabilities are such a struggle but I think we learn to appreciate life more because of our struggles. Thanks for the information :)

  • After watching the three videos, I feel really happy for you and your loving family. you have a beautiful son who will be able to do everything he needs, and then he'll go to school and will be the most bright child in his class just because of your care and support. God bless you all.

  • Austin, you're the luckiest guy in the world for having Kathalene as a mommy. you don't know it yet, but one day, hopefully you'll get it!

    Kathalene, you're amazing!

    May god be with you.

  • aww give it to God nothing is too powerful for Him to fix
