  • So...how is the new flute? Saw you featured in either Flute Talk or Flutist Quarterly...can't remember which or maybe both.

  • The new flute is fantastic, it sounds as good as it looks. I've been busy so I haven't had a chance to record and upload anything with it.

    I didn't know I was in any magazines :-D

  • Exciting...and yest...if you are a member of NFA you would get Flutist Quarterly. Not sure where I saw you. So, did you graduate...plans?

  • I'm still only in high school, going into twelfth grade next year. I'm not sure where I'm going to go to school, but I definitely want to get involved with music wherever I am. The band programs in North Carolina are fantastic, the ones in Ottawa, Canada (one of the places I might end up) aren't quite as good, so I might join a youth orchestra or something.

  • Wow! You have gotten so amazingly good since the last time I remember you playing. Don't know if you remember me, this is Ariel I also played the flute at SV and graduated in 07.

  • WOW i really respect u!! wow i wanna be like you sumday but im only a grade 6 :(

  • OTTAWA YOUTH ORCHESTA FTW!!!!!!!

    I <3 gomez!!!!!

    hahaha we had fun.

  • Great job on this ridiculously tough piece!

  • You look so much older. Canada has some great flutists. Do you plan to be a music major or just music on the side? There are some great places all around you, like TN or some of the other state Universities. Good luck and don't wait too long because flute is a pre-audition and you'll need to do that VERY soon. :)

  • Congratulations Ethan...I wish you future success :)
