Amazing that this little dipper still runs... I experienced her last weekend with a bunch of my coaster friends from the Netherlands and we're proud to add her to our list! :-)

@camthemsm Sorry Camthemsm but you dont have a clue what youre talking about regarding how high the tide comes in on that part of the beach.
If the tide is too high then we dont close it to H&S as has been suggested, bye then all the rides would be close and that would be down to common sense.

This video is the original Schiff little dipper in Cleethorpes manufactured around the early 50s; it has since been replaced, with a later version of the same wee dipper in the year 2005.

I would have been about 6yrs old when I first went on this, I'm now 44!

It does run with the tide in, but we talking late in the day, by then fewer passenger are about, and the height of the tide depends on what part of the year it is, spring and autumn tides tend to go under the track, summer tides up to the track, it does not run with rough tides, we are talking mill pond tides.
Thank you for the video of Cleethorpes famus Wee Dipper .
It may be a small coaster, But Cleethorpes has lots to offer for families with small children. Keep the videos coming

In all fairness, we haven't really scrutinised the day to day running of this ride and we have only the word of the ride operator. I suppose if the sea is too rough then it HAS to close, but we were told that many times the sea has come right up and the ride still operated. There may be some exaggeration in the facts, but even so, it sounded good to us, so we filmed it, lol

The Ride-Guide team are based all over the country, we meet regularly to enjoy theme parks as a group or to film our media productions. Usually we have to pay to get into the parks and the only time we require official permission to film at the parks is for our onride footage. We do always contact the parks and let them know of our intentions to film anyway.
