Saw Misty in Southall in 1980, in Bradford in '82 an' in Kendal last night (Oct 2011). Three stunning performances - if they ever are playing near where you are - get there!! Give Thanks. This '79 Live album and the intro on this youtube clip tells you all you need to know .. proper roots an culture with a real "aura". For me only Burning Spear and Misty get this cool rasta magic mood going big time. Play on Misty in Roots :)

Yes, tunes as old as me, but so popular even when the world changed, to worse
it seems. Sound so prophetical, and everyone can find itself in Misty tunes,
they are so Biblical, and old as men, for eva to stay, that they overcome all obstacles and differences, as their messages travel amongst people of all nations. That is the rockaz beauty, mission, fame and reward at the same time.
One of my favourite bands in the world, had it on cassette nice to hear it again thankyou for posting it. "The wages of sin is death...the gift of Jah is eternal life!"...Selah!

Nice post man ! Saw Misty several times in the 80's - absolutely stunning band- A bit of trivia for you-heard british DJ John Peel on Radio 4 show Desert Island Discs-and this was one of his choices ( I think they just get to choose eight)and he said of it (something like) "I always say my show doesn't have a philosophy-but if it DOES have one,it is contained in the introduction to this song'. Always remember first time I saw them-the bass was JUST SO DEEP ! Great band - thanks for posting
