God's present to us... Sneha Ann

Dear Friends,Dec 19th 2008.
It brings a great joy for us as a family to share this wonderful testimony of our precious daughter Sneha Anne Senthil who was born on Dec 19th 2007 with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia with a survival rate of 10%. Doctors also diagnosed that one side of her lungs is not grown because her stomach, intestine, spleen all herniated into the upper chest part which blocked the lungs growth. Also her heart shifted to right which made the case so complicated. After hearing this news we were totally shattered and prayed to God
we trusted and had complete faith in Jesus Christ who gave this child in our life. As it is in Bible as God is the author and finisher of our life.
Also according to word of GOD says
do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving present your request to God and the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. These gave us a great encouragement to our faith as gods peace gave us the complete hope.
Snehas birth was well planned because of high risk delivery. After her birth in Northside Hospital she was immediately transferred to CHOA. It was still in our thoughts the tough days with mom trying to recover from the C-section in different hospital and new born child in another hospital. She was on ECMO machine a machine while does the role of lungs and heart. SO basically she was on by pass machine. Sneha Anne also had pulmonary hypertension (pressure in lungs) which made doctors all worried. There immediate challenge is to pass the hurdle of hypertension. Successfully she passed that and doctors removed the ECMO machine from her body as her heart and lungs started to respond.
After removal of ecmo things went back to original condition as before. Doctors also cant put back that machine for medical reason. She was on 100% oscillator which was the last hope of her life. Doctors came to final resource of supporting her and comforted and conveyed us that she may take any turn as she is beyond our control and some miracle needs to happen as something need to happen from her side as we cant help at this time. This situation helped to be very clear that things which are impossible with man are possible with God alone. Days went on and God changed the course of her life and she was down from 100% oscillator to minimum in another week. They changed to ventilator for a week. Doctors now prepared for the surgery on Jan 15th. They pulled back and placed all the organs in right place and patched the hole and tied it to ribcage on one side and stitched it another side with unformed diaphragm. She was in hospital with feeding tube and ventilator and oxygen mask. By middle of March she was out of oxygen support and she started breathing by herself.
Doctors told she might have lost her sucking reflux. They told us she will definitely need a Jejonostomy meaning a tube will be inserted into her stomach, So that we can feed her whenever she is hungry just like filling a tank till she learns how to drink and eat which will take another 2 -3 years minimum. With this we were discharged from the hospital after 3.1/2 months in hospital.
At last it is long way to home to Sneha and to us. But we really know this is a total favor of God in our life and God taught us to know his love and power. With this we were also tied of going back to hospital to insert that tube in another month or so
But she started drinking milk in more volume after her discharge and now she is healthy strong child and eats everything. She is very active and started to walk with support.

Doctors also confirmed that because of the severity of her hole it is most likely she may need another surgery soon very soon as 75% of patients always come back to fix the patch again. But praise be to God our Lord Christ it is almost 11 months from surgery she is doing so great and doctors are in surprise to see this miracle.

Sneha Anne Senthil is our miracle from God. We really thank each and everyone in this fellowship for the prayers as our god is prayer answering God.. Now it is her 1st birthday and we are celebrating and rejoicing as Gods word say all things works for good for those who love Him according to his purpose and trust in Him. Even in our unfaithful life God has been so faithful.
For those who hope in the lord will renew there strength they will soar on wings like eagles they will run and not got weary they will walk and not be faint.(Is 40:31)
even though her start was rough God carried us through. I like to encourage you all that keep up your good faith and God will answer your prayers as he answered US.
With this we again thank you all.
Sneha is our testimony and she is our miracle from God.
