Covering Elton John's Obscure Songs (1969-1975)

This video describes a bit of background to my posting cover versions of Elton's less well known songs from his albums, 'Empty Sky' through 'Captain Fantastic'. Let me know if there is a song from that era that you would like to hear and I'll see about posting a cover version of it. I am pretty much recording these in the order of the actual albums they come from, and at the time of this writing am about to pick some off of 'Honky Chateau', then 'Dont' Shoot Me...', etc. Keep in touch! Sorry for the delayed reply. I am familiar with both of those songs. Do you know an LP called "Lady Samantha"? It was an album that was released in Britain in the 70's that contained many of Elton's rarer songs. "Strange Rain" was on there.

Most people who think Elton is over rated have probably not listened to the obscure album tracks. That's where so much of the best stuff is.
