Da Rush Maui Flowrider Contest January 30, 2009

On January 30th 2009 the best flow riders in Hawaii converged on Da Rush Maui in Kehei to battle against themselves and five hundred gallons of water per minute in the first of several off season flow rider competitions. We hold these event;s every two months to supplement the summer flow rider tour., said Bernice Vadla owner of Da Rush Maui. Dozens of riders competed in four categories for prizes and trophies donated by local businesses. Its really about the youth, giving them a safe supportive atmosphere to ride in. And also to let the public know that we are here. We have been open for over a year and still many Maui residents dont know were here. Then they find out about us, show up and get hooked. Flow riding is a sport for all ages, its fun for the entire family. You can stand up or use a boogie board and we have all the gear that you need right here., said a very proud and excited Bernice Vadla. This video also available in HD.
