An event celebrating the 400 yr old history of ceramic trade between Appledore in Devon and one of the first settlements in
the USA. A kiln whose shape is based on one of the traditional vessels built in Appledore is loaded with smaller ceramic boats made by local school children during workshops with local artists Philip Leach, Julie Bosworth, and rupert Rupert Johnstone.
Tom Barnett can be seen firing the kiln here with the help of some of these artists. For more information about Tom Barnetts 'firing projects' visit www.tombarnett.net
