Do you like this song by the Indigo Girls...It is great isn't it. I love the song and suggest you check out Edwin McCain's cover of it. You will literally cry.
I met Emily in 1991...she was so nice and signed my CD.

Sylvester the Cat. Gawd, this is pretty fuckin' lousy.

Ok it's good - i think she's amazing but you can't take a Geordie ballad by Mark Knopfler ( who by the way has had a bit of a music career himself) and export to the USA without it changing ..i love her voice..she has angst and he has moody misery. Both seminal..

countin cassie and lord bannana we like you both
I love this song. And I love her voice, but I don't think it's right for this song. Nothing will ever beat Dire Straits version.

I bet it seemed like a good idea at the time, covering a Dire Straits classic. It was perfect apart from two things: 1. The guitar playing was shit (listen to Knopflers playing in the original - sublime) and 2. The singing was shit. She slurred like Daffy Duck, for gods sake. Other than that, top notch performance.
