The North Carolina Zoological Park debuted a new Honeybee Garden exhibit in June 2009. The exhibit, which grows out of a long-time relationship with the North Carolina Beekeepers' Association, includes a working demonstration hive, a display of bee-related products, and a wide variety of plants and flowers related to healthy bee populations. Given that some 33% of the food in the United States depends on bee pollination, it is important that we solve the recent riddle of bee population decline, and that we respect and protect the bees we find in our own backyards.
this is cool
