Sinn Féin leaders Gerry Adams and Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin talk to the media after a meeting with party representatives in Leinster House today (November 17th, 2010) to discus the ongoing and deepening crisis in the Irish economy. Both men called on the Taoiseach Brian Cowen to abandon his plans to introduce a budget in December and to instead call an election.

  • Adams is a fuckwit. Should stick to tribal politics in NI where he is the Brit's paid for little monkey.

  • Gerry Adams doesn't even know the VAT rate in the Republic but I bet he knows the VAT rate in the UK where he lives. Go back ti the UK Gerry...

Don't try to demean me by stating the obvious.

What I was saying was simple, no union between UK and Ireland. Simple, end of. That aint gona happen either. Now fuck off.

  • @AidanMusik Ireland is not independent, It is now run and controlled by brusseles. And because brusselles now controls your money and practicaly your economy, there is not much chance of ireland ever bieng independent again. Unless the EU breaks up that is, Which doesnt look like any time soon.

  • @NumberDne

No! Why can't Ireland just be independent?

Why can't UK just be independent?

I'm sorry my friend, but as optimistic as your outlook is, 1000 years of rape and murder is not forgiven because of any modern similarities

  • @AidanMusik Youve gotta admit, we have the same music, pretty much the same TV, the same parlimentary type of system, the same people, as Celtic Anglo mixing is very deep now, same location, same values, ideals, nightlife, pretty much everything is the same but what weakens us is our partition. I know that the pope and Catholic church are now suspect in the eyes of many so religion should not keep us apart. We should remake the Union which escaped us.United Kingdom of Great Britain & ireland!

  • @AidanMusik Pretty much all empires in the past involved rape and death, that is how it was in the past. But times have changed and rape and death is not possible without scrutiny. All these negative things of old you speak of are not possible in today's world. The only thing that is possible is gaining a crucial advantage of strength in numbers.

  • @NumberDne

God blessed your Empire of Rape and Death?

Good riddance that China will rule in 100 years time.

  • @AidanMusik Even now, if Ireland rejoined the UK then we could just absorb your debt, like we did with the bank of Scotland which needed roughly the same amount, and there would be no talk of bailout. Its silly arguing over where our mothers gave birth to us. My cousin was born in Ireland but i still see her as my own flesh and blood. I always think of the possibilities of a reunified GB and Ireland. I feel that our Anglo-Celtic nation/s were born to do more as one.
