The last century has seen the rise of bigger and bigger governments, with very little discussion or debate on merits or the implications.

Discover the truth about Big Government. It is not a practical/efficient machine, working successfully for the good of the people.

The bigger government gets, the less representative, accountable and efficient it is.

  • Big Government becomes Corrupt Government because Big Business only needs to go to one place to achieve their goals. Also, a magical non-corrupt Big Government is still morally wrong, if you consider involuntary servitude (aka slavery) morally wrong.

  • Ron paul is the only one that understans this concept. The others are NOT naturally evil they simply become corrupt because we are ALL selfish and how can someone know they are selfish unless they are scrutinized by the people closest to them.

  • Big governments can also specialize in service delivery and tackle more complex problems.

I worked for municipal governments, and when we were downloaded services from higher levels of government (like water treatment), you wouldn't believe how scattered and unorganized our service delivery was. We knew nothing of water pH levels, chemical treatments, etc.

Smaller is not *always* more efficient.

  • @xaajjaax so instead of pointing out all the problem, give us the solutions then.

  • you truly believe in everyday people with very little experience in everyday life issues which history shows on state level people may not act appropriately, as in the case of lynching. you need well rounded people to govern and the most experienced usually work from state to central govt. also big money has to do with govt growth and govt vested interest.

  • i don't agree with you totally, this is why the civil war was fought because the stupid confederates states wanted to succeed from the union to keep doing what was to be outlawed and that's slavery. you should also check out the corrupt texas judicial system and the inequalities that far exceed any of the states in the country. there has been instances where the central gov''t has had to intervene and reverse the decisions made in texas bias judicial system. the central gov't desegregated the us

  • I can't praise these enough. There is no greater interpretation of the things you show. I have watched every video you have and I am so moved by them. I wish all Americans would watch all videos you have to understand liberty, big government, and collectivism. Without this knowledge we are doomed as a nation.

  • i think the small villiage might have some problems supporting specific professionals, consider that the 5000 person villiage will have about 50 people who suffer from schitzophrenia, and 150 with bipolar disease....

  • @catch22af

no- thats the thing. the more local it is, the less the devestation of any effects. the less the evil. And its only big govt which will try to subject 'majorities' as diversity is extinct in big govt.

however in small localized govt u will virtually never have any discrimination- else the 'subjects' will simply rise up and overthrow their tyrannical mutilators

  • nice job on the presentation, but i do have a question about your examples. You say that smaller government is more efficient and yes i agree. but what if the practices of the other village involves oppressing minorities you know like Jim Crow laws. In that example do you agree that government should step in? and wouldn't that also lead to big government?

  • @Eldeecue

I would be described as a Libertarian or a Classical Liberal myself but I view myself as a Liberal. Because I believe in "Maximize Freedom and Responsibility for the Individual". That people have the right to live their lives as they see fit as long as their not hurting anyone with their Freedom.

That Government should Empower people who are down to help themselves through temporary Financial Assistance, Education, Job Training and Job Placement. But not subsidize them indefinitely.
