Hmm knife sharpeners have looked like this, a sanding belt, for decades ;) But I like the fact that it is not humoungously big.
-
that sounds like tony doing the demo.he didnt show us how to do the lady fingernail profile which i think is the hardest part of sharpening
-
@123HURST Totally lame when they rope you into way overpaying for consumables. I hope they're satisfied that they'll never sell it to a lot of people because of that.
-
over priced
-
As a sharpener I can't fault it but it is very overpriced much like every thing else in wood turning at the moment.
-
A good sharpner but, not for sharpening knives unfortunately.
-
For $500 I'll pass.

OMFG this is the best fucking thing ive evar seen. evar!!!!

Hey ! thats a belt sander! I should have invented the PRO Edge since I already have a belt sander
-
it's a belt sander with an angle guide. nothing revolutionary about it at all.
-
I have one i used to swear by tormec. Now i prefer the pro edge.I find it quicker to use.
anybody else notice he burned the edge on one of those chisels?

The main drawback is the proprietary belt size (30.5"). You will have to buy all of your belts from sorby at an exhorbitant markup. If they used a standard 48 x 2 inch belt it might be worth owning.
