Hey a mirror that anyone can see themselves in. Cool. Life in black and white...hmm do you think a color one is in the works?

How it works: Take a black and white digital video camera with 900 pixels and point it facing out the mirror. Each pixel is then mapped to a disc. The darker the pixel the more the disc turns, if it's a lighter pixel the disc turn toward the ligher color portion. Same works for the shades of gray between.

The Circles Mirror uses an amazing combination of mechanical and digital technologies. By using a radial gradient from black to white, each of the 900 overlapping discs rotates to create the illusion of shades of grey. Rozin create custom software to convert the digital images captured by a video camera into data which could be used by the motors which rotate the circles.
