these ertl ones were and still are alot better than what they are making now, the little magnet ones, the ertl look more like the ones from tv

Are ERTL Thomas' rare? I haven't collected since I was 8 at least, and I found a Thomas, James, and Percy in my attic dated somewhere around 1993.
