hey man nice shot im down here in texas and we have tons of these animals on the king ranch, i mean i just shot one on saturday morning. for all of those who are just getting started if i can shoot a 12 inch 650 lb bull nilgai with a 7mm 08 you can take them down with any gun bigger than that, other than that is total bull shit

Nilgai are freakin MEAN..... we had one on our ranch that killed two calves. Neat animals though.

Here in Brooks County there is somewhat problems with these animals and when taking them out which would be once to twice a week we use .270 .300 and my friend shot a bull between the eyes with a .38 revolver but a .308 would drop a cow easily

What did you use to bring down that bull? A friend of mine uses a 7mm Magnum and a 30-06 when he shoots nilgai. Would a .308 Win be enough?
