@resurgam44 It's a brief youtube video, not a graduate seminar. Lighten up. I find it entertaining and even just for a few seconds, informative.

That was more directed at movingwithintent. I just wanted to clarify that I'm not trying to cancel out fun and lulz. Rather, I want to promote literacy and learning amidst the shenanigans had along the way. Learning is sweet, learning is fun, but foul disrespect of the linguistic/academic enterprise smells like a troll's asshole to me.

Of course I've tried other languages/dialects, I'm a student of linguistics. There are always funny hiccups along the way, but you don't need to post them. It isn't the fact you are having fun that angers me, its the fact that you are utterly disrespecting an integral part of our socio-linguistic history, and flippantly disregarding it as banal and unimportant. Fun is awesome, but a lack of respect is not. Feel free to fool about, but make an effort to learn along the way.

@resurgam44 : you are free to not watch. you are no fun. what is wrong with having fun? have you ever tried to talk in a different dialect and understand it? it can be hilarious and enlightening. go feck yaself ya cryacka retahd.

Haha, looks like you are having great fun :-)
^5 - really hard to resist giggling along, when you see this.
Don't pay attention to those negative and ignorant people, please.

you said it all @ 00:52 you don't know what your even talking about so why make a video?
@ 00:52. Why even bother posting this mess? You obviously don't know what you're talking about, even though the subject matter is exceedingly simple to grasp. I have no tolerance for stupidity; please keep it to yourself.

@resurgam44 ; you take things way too seriously. what about this video is disrespectful exactly? Seriously, watch it again, and explain how this is disrespectful. To me, this is a skit, of someone trying to teach a potato dressed like darth vader, about the vowel shift. Humor. Also pronounced umer. That's it. It isn't masking some disrespect for linguists, people who talk with the vowel shift, etc. Lietin up mayn. Callage is nat the real werld.
