3rd Street Promenade in Sta. Monica Part 1/2

Welcome to 3rd street Promenade in Santa Monica, California. This is I think a three block stretch of street that looks more like an outdoor mall with many stores in both sides lined up and a park in the center where you can see many vendors and various forms of entertainment by people trying to earn a living. It's a pretty cool place. As I was filming while walking, someone approached me to share some Bible's message and I thought he was one of Jehovah's Witnesses but apparently was not. OMG, it looks so weird with the old Santa Monica Place mall no longer there! It also breaks my heart not seeing it there anymore! :'( I used to go there all the time and hang out with friends when I went to Samohi! How times have changed! That said, the new version of it looks pretty cool, and I hope to go there in 2010 when it's completed!

Oh cool, I didn't know that. It was actually my first time to visit the place, and I think it was awesome. What new version is there in 2010? Are they building a new mall in the area?

Hey demarc, sorry for the late reply. What they're building there now is a whole new mall. It's going to be an open-air mall, so guests who dine & shop there on the upper top level can get nice views of the ocean and catch some cool ocean breeze. Sounds pretty cool, and I've seen pics of how the completed project will look over at the Santa Monica visitors site. Looks neat!

Oh my gosh! That was Sho~ne~san that stopped you! (The spelling is wrong, I'm sure, but I can't spell Japanese names). I used to work at that Urban Outfitters, I was apart of the study group he tried to get you to join, that's too funny.

Yup there is...there are also lots of people performing in public places in New York City asking for money.
