Hello everybody, Scorch Green Dragon again.

In previous videos I have already demonstrated there does not need to be any magnetism at all to cause the sphere to rotate

I also demonstrated that if the sphere is removed and replaced with a ball bearing, the disk will NOT spin at all under the influence of any ring magnet.

And, I have shown that the direction of rotation is dictated by angle of lift and direction of pull on the supported sphere. Which I will now demonstrate again.

All of these facts serve to PROVE it is the SPHERE that causes spin and NOTHING ELSE.

But, despite all of the evidence already presented, there has now been a request to use a remote controlled rig to demonstrate an alleged vortex emanating from the ring magnet.

The THEORY is that if you build a rig to remotely lower the ring magnet without human interaction, this will pull the disk and sphere into an upright position and show a spin.

The PROBLEM with this theory is that the simple act of pulling this assembly into an upright position is going to introduce a whole new series of forces not related to magnetism.

These include Inertia and Momentum.

The other challenge is the unique shape of the device which is actually two completely different shapes of a disk and sphere that will roll off center from the ring before it stabilizes. And this will result in a spin caused, not by a vortex, but simple attraction to the nearest side of the ring.

When lying on its side; it wants to roll in a circular pattern around a center point that is approximately one inch AWAY from the device.

But as soon as I lift the disk away from the surface the sphere now has full influence of nearly infinite possibilities. And, when upright and stationary, the center line is NOW directly through the middle in a completely DIFFERENT center point.

So, which one is reliable and repeatable?

Its obvious that when starting from a lying position it is impossible to ensure a consistent start point to replicate the results.

As you can see here; I have a level surface and a lifting rig perfectly centered over my cross hairs. And I can center this device on my center point but, when lying down, the center point is NOW in a DIFFERENT location!

As you can see, when lying down, I must realign the device to the OTHER center point within this circle. And, even now, its not perfectly centered and this will change even more when I attempt to start lifting on it. So, like I said, IMPOSSIBLE to get consistent results with this method.

SO, in order to be scientific about this, keep this centered, and eliminate any new inertia and momentum introduced by the simple act of lifting the spinner into an upright position; I have constructed a rig that allows the spinner to start from an already upright position.

And I will now pause the camera to set up this new rig.

As you can see we are now set up to attempt repeated replications of this experiment.

Due to the time constraints of you tube video, this experiment will be carried on into part IIIB.
Please tune into my video gallery to see the completion of this experiment at:

  • Thank you for posting up these videos. I still find it very pathetic that people believe the Hamel spinner is a perpetual motion device for free energy. But it goes to show that it doesn't matter how much evidence/proof you have on a subject, if the opposing party is stubborn and don't open up their minds, they will never understand whats under their nose and move on in life. This is the same war that has been going on between science and religion.
