Talent can only get you so far...I'd rather choose a person who has no talent, but is willing to learn and willing to work his ass off than a person who makes it look easy but is lazy as fuck...

Problem with this line of thinking is that it takes talent as the end product. (Gladwell makes the same mistake.) It is also the beginning point. Deliberate practice with a talented person brings greater results then with a nontalented person. Use DP with two singers, one tone deaf the other with perfect pitch, each practices 10,000 hours, the latter will excel in comparison. You cannot ignore the starting point. See Taleb's The Black Swan, chpt 8 understand the flaw here.

Why would you call this Talent is underrated? That goes against what Colvin is talking about.
