  • very nice. I enjoyed this a lot. Excellent upload

  • soundso fakeo

  • Superb musicianship! It just goes to show the benefits of having a wide musical taste along with the skills to execute them. Many musicians play (or played) jazz/pop/classical - Benny Goodman and Freidric Gulda to name but two. I thoroughly enjoyed you interpretation of BWV 999.

  • @fanadfilms I don't know why you keep repeating that first sentence. I have already told you that I have been learning both the piano and the classical guitar in the most conventional manner, from private teachers. I think that should pretty much count as classical training. I agree with you in most aspects and I never said that musical training is useless (if it were, I wouldn't have taken it, would i?). I just stated that it seems to me somewhat overrated.

  • @aronvirginas @aronvirginas Spoken like someone who's never taken classical training. I've had some great great great organic players, and then they took lessons. One hated it, but was in a music program in college and had to do it. After the 1st semester was complete, he realized what he was being taught, gave into it, and it made him an amazingly great player.

Musical training will make an average player good, and an above average player greater.

    I am open-minded

  • @fanadfilms You're wrong. I have been learning both the piano and the guitar a la carte for several years. I am by far not a professional, but I have sufficient insight on music. Classical training is, as you say, a good foundation, but it doesn't make one a good musician by itself. Nor does it's lack make one a bad musician, many of the greatest musical artists were self-taught. Try to be a bit more open-minded.

  • @aronvirginas Spoken like someone who's never been trained classically. It's a great foundation for all other things.

  • @fanadfilms So? The piece is well played. Classical training is much overrated. Music is a form art which, thou it has it's rules, should be played from the soul in the first place.

  • Really good!! I prefer this tempo too...

  • I'm with 3djes all the way on this - really well played, love the flow. This is the Segovia fingering or something very similar, and it's played way slower than Segovia did, not that that matters - a really cool performance.
