Terrorists launch mortar attacks on food lorries The LTTE terrorists have launched mortar attacks on lorries transporting essential food for the Tamil civilians of Mullaitivu and Kilinochchi Districts.. Military Spokesman Brig. Udaya Nanayakkara said that when essential food commodities were being transported to Mullaitivu and Kilinochchi Districts in 50 lorries. The LTTE terrorists attacked these vehicles on the Oddusudan road and also launched artillery attacks in the environs. Civilians travelling in the lorries were not harmed. They returned to Vavuniya. The Brigadier said this confirms LTTEs attempts to halt the distribution of food and blame the government. Their intention is to hold the troops responsible for the incident..
