The TV ad opens with innkeepers Jim and Mary O'Reilly, who own the Wildflower Inn in Vermont, a jurisdiction where marriage has been redefined by the state legislature. The O'Reillys were sued over their refusal to make their facilities available for a same-sex wedding, despite their offer to refer the lesbian couple to other providers and despite the O'Reillys' deeply held religious beliefs. The O'Reillys had to pay $30,000 and can never again host any weddings at their inn.

The TV ad then shows Damian Goddard, from Canada, another jurisdiction where marriage has been redefined. Goddard was a sportscaster for a major sports channel who was fired the day after he sent a personal tweet expressing his belief in traditional marriage.
