Reason To Believe

Guy and Maz. Why he did what he did when he learned the NWM's identity. Well my take on it with a bit of help from Rod.

Remembered the song and simply had to do it.

In a way Guy and Marian were alike in that they were willing to do nearly anything for what they wanted or for their own interest, etc. Though ironically, the one that is supposed to be good - actually did worse in some ways. Remember what Guy once said - something about the worst crime a man could do to another and Marian said blood - Guy said no - betrayal. And that is what Marian did to guy. After the ending, I in no way see Marian as an innocent or even particularly good.

Yep actually Marian said 'murder' and Guy said no ..'betrayal' which could be the reason he refused to betray the Sheriff for her in the finale. That and the fact she lied to him again and again. Not a huge Marian fan since ep7 of series 1. I can't say I was gutted to see her gutted. ;)

I swear I posted a comment yesterday. This song always reminds me of being a kid (my sister was a big fan) and this song is just great for Guy and Maz. You lied, straight faced whilst I cried. *sob*

I agree. Marian played his feelings for her constantly, and I think her betrayals are really what made him do what he did. I hate that they killed her off, but I really can't blame Guy. I was getting so sick of him defending her, and she kept using him to help Robin.

I admit my admiration for Marian dwindled after the season 2 finale. If her last words to Guy were true, then every tender word she said to him for years was a lie. I can't imagine the one I love ripping my heart out like that and laughing at my pain.

Never heard this song before and it's perfect for Guy/Marian. I like how you focused on the NWM storyline although there's so much more she lied to him about. It's videos like this that make me feel sorry for Guy and wonder why I like Marian at all because she played with his feelings so much, it's no wonder things turned out like they did. Well done, Twiddle!
