Bird feeders in my back garden. One of the most wished for birds is the Goldfinch. Boxing day was the first time I have seen them for a long time.

  • wow nice video. i wish i had places to put loads of feeders but the problems is that we have cats. i got a fat ball up on a tree and my mum thought it wasnt getting eating. but i found out that it was. im really into birds. my favourite is robins, blue tits and magpies. the only time i saw a blue tit up close was in heligan gardens

  • yes cats can be a problem, but feeders can be hung from a metal pole 6 ft off the ground. good luck

  • Hi..inside that tubicinis where you/they eat the goldfinches thing you have put?! are they peanuts?

  • peanuts in two feeders and grain in the others -

  • You obviously don't have a squirrel problem..

I have to take drastic measures to keep them out of my feeders...

  • what colour squirrels do you have

see all

  • Surprised to see Goldfinches on the peanuts. They never touch mine. They go for the Niger seeds and sunflower hearts

  • Really good filming, you get so many different species

  • Hehe, birds are so swift they make me giggle a lil bit.

  • Cool set up, Goldfinches are pretty much the only bird I get in my garden. I have never heard of them eating peanuts before though, nyger seed will definitely attract them.

  • Wow, great video.

  • nice vid i would catch them & breed them wit my red factor

  • Its lovely to see the goldfinch in the wild and in England. I am looking for a couple of goldfinch male birds. I am located in London, can any one help? They must be captive bred and close rung.

    Thanks
