I love this film!! but really by drinking from the pepsucki cups you are supporting them by using their lame ass products. think about it. dee eye why forever.
it was just an observation. i never said i didn't like how you didnt make it, infact the opposite "i love this film!!". it is hypocrisy, that is all, to say one thing and then act contradictory. also, i never said i am against large corporations, i just noticed that you were supporting one.
This was great, thanks for uploading it! There's so many people I wish I could show it to so they wouldn't think I'm crazy/stupid, but they wouldn't last five minutes into it anyway. It's gonna be great to record more stuff today, this got me in the mood for it (aside from not getting to record anything for a while).
One of the best films I've seen in a while... this truly inspires me more to just say fuck mainstream society, I don't want to work for anyone but myself and do art for a living. It is possible, just not as easy as slaving away for a boss, but it's the fulfillment of doing what you love that counts in the end. Thanks DIY or DIE!
Many people have said it, but it truly is inspiring to just hear other artists talk about the DIY ethics. It makes all of us, who do this for ourselves and just find our own personal release and relaxtion feel that we're not alone and there are so many more out there. The DIY mindset makes everything so much more satisfying when you achieve something.
I hope in the future the art forms will be a mass of DIY so all forms can be explored and expressed to make us a better world!
As counter-intuitive as this sounds, this is the kind of affirmation an independent artist needs. Knowing that you're not the only one that believes in expression in its truest form is very gratifying.
thanks for posting the whole film!! apart from the fact that its amazing, its really helped me understand the whole DIY aspect more and in turn has helped motivate me to make a living from being Independent!
I was personally inspired to make films DIY by after watching "American Movie". It would be interesting to one day find out how many people went out and made their own movie after watching this.

make your own movie if you don't like how I make mine.
And why are you anti-corporate? because someone told you to be? (if it was me, I'm sorry.)
Free enterprise rules.
