The 10 minute intermission clock which was filmed at the "Blue Screen" of the Miracle Twin Drive-in Theater on Saturday, June 11, 2005, which is located in the Flint area of Michigan on G-6383 E. Court St. Burton, MI 48509, near the I-69 and Belsay Road exit. The Miracle Twin Drive-In has been closed as of the end of the 2008 season. This is my tribute to the workers who kept it going since it opened on 2/15/73 and is also a fond remembrance of our good times seeing movies at the Miracle Twin.
RIP Miracle Twin. You will be missed by Michigan Drive-In Theater fans. :(
For those in the Flint, MI area and any Michigan drive-in fans in general, please attend movies at the US-23 Drive-In Theater in nearby Mundy Township, MI as much as possible during April through September of 2009, as it will be their last season, unless a buyer is found.

  • Hi. Greetings from the OUTDOOR MOOVIES guy. I produced the long running Lansing MI based cable show. thank you for posting. The same intermission reel ran at the M-78 drive in about 40 miles away at the M-78, where I worked for it's final 9 seasons. I used to own a 35mm copy of it PLUS a really cool "clock" that I salvaged from the STAR LITE. Just before the M-78 closed, some jerk ripped it off! Anyways, Thanks for the memories.......

  • Hi driveinnut61!

I met you at the Capri drive-in at the Halloween party a few years back. I was dressed as the wizard character. You interviewed me for Outdoor Movies along with my wife who was dressed as a doctor. Do you know who the company is that produced this 10 minute clock trailer? I know someone who is trying to locate a copy for their local drive-in theater to show at intermission time. If you know what company produced it, and what the name of this film was please let me know.

  • Aw man, thanks soooo much for this!! I've been meaning to always try and film this but never got around to doing it until it was too late. Thanks a lot!

  • Your very welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

  • Thanks for posting that! I always wanted to get that on tape, so I'm glad you got it. Doesn't that cardboard-ish pizza look delicious!? I'll miss the Twin, what a bummer. :(

  • Yes, yummy cardboard pizza! lol Yes, it really is a bummer. RIP Miracle Twin. :(

  • this brings back memories :) lol

  • @bethrisenburg Lol thats funny, my old man used to say the same thing about the puppies every time we saw this intermission later on.

  • The Drive In Sundance Kid in Toledo area (Rt 2 across from Pearson Park) used this for a time, when my parents were THE ONLY ones to attend a showing in the 80's. Now it's BOOMING. But, to be funny, when I was a kid, my Dad would joke that "You know all those puppies are dead!" And of course we'd act shocked like he didn't say that last week. The funny thing is, we spent more time in the projection booth than in the van... I go from time to time, and I still have friends who work there!

  • The music is FREAKING AWESOME!!! Classic , great post!

  • Thanks for this. I went to the Miracle Twin a few times around 05/06 but wish I could've gone more, especially in 08. It always reminded me of the very simular but long gone M-78 here in Lansing, MI. R.I.P. Miracle Twin. :(

  • NEW VIDEO of MIRACLE TWIN! Just Posted. Type into search "drive in theaters from RQVOutdoorMoovies". Thank you, Funka Bunka, for posting this fine clip. Don't let the lack of comments

bum you out. The jerks just don't get it. Without posters like you, us drive in fans would not have anything to look at. It only takes a moment to comment, to show appreciation. Thank you, Funka Bunka, for letting me kick back at the Miracle Twin.

  • To Funkabunka: I'm new to this web thing. If you are referring to the 10 minute clock from the MIRACLE TWIN, all I know is that NATIONAL AMUSEMENTS, a company currently up for sale, was the one that showed it. They were formerly called REDSTONE but I don't know where they got it produced. Don't tell me it's the CAPRI looking? Somewhere I do have some addresses where you can buy 35mm intermussions. I won't be on the web for a few weeks. Going to Capri in '09? I could give you some DVD's.
