Southwest airlines is even worse, because last time I flew Southwest, I wen't from Phoenix to Salt Lake City and the plane is very crouded, and I had to sit right next to the old stinky smelly black man, the high speed trains interrior are bigger than the boeing 737.

Too Late, Nevada is getting their high speed rail calls the Desert Xpress and it starts early of 2010 and it will travel from Victorvill C.A. to Las Vegas N.V traveling 150 MPH.

So how would YOU fund it? Sell off the operating contract to another company? Perhaps Japan Rail? Actually, that does sound like a better idea than letting Amtrak handle it.

YES. It is unfortunate that so many Americans are ignorant of the benefits of fast rail travel simply because they haven't used it before.

I cannot believe Americans afford to spent three hours for only an hour fright, on the way to and from airports. When very smelly stranger sit next to you, you can ask conductors to chiange your seat.The seats and atmosphere of Shinkansen are far more comfortable than those of economy class.
