Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band; directed by Don Van Vliet (with much uncredited assistance from producer Ken Schreiber), cinematography by Daniel Pearl (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre); Don Van Vliet (vocals, harp), Gary Lucas (guitar), Jeff Tepper (guitar), Rick Snyder (bass), Cliff Martinez (drums); filmed on location in the High Mojave Desert near Lancaster, California; clip rejected by MTV USA as "too weird" upon release, now in the Permanent Film and Video Collection of the Museum of Modern Art, NYC; track taken from the 1982 Virgin album "Ice Cream for Crow"

@Tonyfaster you're the only person on this comment board who's trying to claim superiority over anyone else. Rather than wasting your time by logging on to sites and judging people you know nothing about, you should try and be a little more open minded towards tastes that differ from yours.
Nobody here listens to Beefheart because they think it makes them seem "intellectual", chances are that they just like what they hear.

I saw Captain beefheart at the Dome in Brighton in 74, he was so mental. The Spotlight kid is my favorite album. He was a genius.

the only real music-video the Captain ever made and you can still see it every now and then on MTV (at night when MTV actually airs musicvideos instead of those stupid shows that dont have ANYTHING to do with music they show the rest of the day)
