I wrote this program for a project at ITT Tech. The light changes were recorded in a series of passes, the control software is VB. Each of the 30 clients uses UDP to find the server. The server sends out light color updates to every client that must change every 1/10th of a second via TCP/IP in synchronization with the music. I will be doing this project again in a room with 80 computers, I'll post the video when I do it.

At the end, all the computer in the lab go to Blue Screen of Death. This is actually the sysinternals BSOD screensaver, called by the program on exit.

  • I wish I cold do that too.. How did you get the systems to accept the input from the sound to change each screen?

  • @ThePower27 The systems aren't reacting to sound. I made a program to record what is basically a text-based trigger timeline for the different colors, then "layered" the maps.

The trigger software allowed me to map different computers in the room to different keyboard buttons. I listened to the song and pushed the corresponding button in time where I wanted a given computer to light up red. Then I repeated it for blue and white.

  • alot of people saying these schools suck, like itt , art institute, etc. your not gonna make big bucks after graduation . it takes time. my cuz went to ai in dallas,tx, graduated got job in editing for 350.00 a week. 9 years later 95,000 a year and travels the world. it's up to you .

  • "it's up to you"

Truer words can not be found on the internet.

  • applause! very original, what i want to know was what was your grade and what did your teacher think of your project? i am about to start itt in the fall and i was wondering how up tight they are

  • This was a project for Network Protocols, of all things. The assignment was to simply demonstrate the configuration of a small network, and proving that it works by sending data over it.

As for the teacher... he's holding the camera! :)

  • Itt tech is a joke most of the teachers will give you 100% no matter what you do. I just quit due to my last class I tested my theory by leaving labs half finished and it was obvious they were not complete by the red marks on the labs. I also did the same thing with writing assignments by putting things in there like I know your not reading this your a joke for a teacher and still getting 100 I did this all through his class and still got an A.

  • @ja0879 I wish I can have thous teachers giving me an A for everything that I did wrong.my god. My GPA is a 3.25. I love ITT-Tech.

  • Anyone looking to attend this school and do some major research first.

  • A lot of people that do hiring will tell you that the degree you earned doesn't count like others do. If you want to go for a masters at another school the ITT tech degree doesn't count. It isn't acredited like other schools.I'm glad I got out before it was to late.

  • That was sick! Great song too!

  • it takes time org/

for all the dumbasses out there thinking of going

also if someone says they went to itt tech and they are making big bucks...they are lieing to themselves cause they realize what da's they are

  • @jsarellano2 I agree with the undead dude. Why would he regret it? ITT is an excellent school.

  • @dhsn28 That must have taken a lot of careful planning and trial and error right?

  • good job !!!!!!!!!!! that's great

  • @tongli30 And just because the campuses sucked where they went, doesn't mean the entire school sucks.
